In short, we feed AI sample payloads from an API, and it configures our integration templates. A subject matter expert (SME) still needs to assist and debug, but the results are dramatic. For example, we are now using it to create LTL carrier APIs. What used to take 100+ hours of development work is now completed in about one day. This includes everything—soup to nuts—into production for an LTL carrier’s set of APIs.
The tool works with any API, and we are close to making it non-developer friendly so that an ordinary TMS subject matter expert can use it. Think about the impact—a TMS SME can look at an API and create their own integration on the fly that same day. We’ve been doing this type of self-connect process for months with EDI—now, we can do it with APIs.
